ભુલી જવાનો હું જ, એ કહેતા હતા મને,
એવું કહીને એજ તો ભુલી ગયા મને.
પૂછ્યું નથી શું કોઇએ, મારા વિશે કશું?
તારા વિશે તો કેટલું પૂછે બધા મને!
ખોબો ભરીને ક્યાંયથી, પીવા મળ્યું નહિ,
દરિયો મળ્યો છે આમ તો, ડૂબી જવા મને.
થાકી ગયો તો ખૂબ કે ચાલી શકત ન હું,
સારું થયું કે લોક સહુ ઊંચકી ગયા મને.

I read his first guzal in gujarti text book.. (i guess 7th grade) since then i love to read his gazals.. diffrent apporach to say things then others and it just goes straight inside ur soul...

Hi Arpit,
I must say it is indeed a nice collection of gujarati poem. Even though you are sitting there in United States, you are very close to our mother land and our mother tongue. I have subscribed to your blogs, keep on posting such gems.
